I saw a quote the other day that said:
"Your body can stand almost anything — it's your mind you have to convince."
And it’s so true.
If you feel like you struggle with discipline sometimes, keep reading. If you feel like you don’t… still keep reading.
Think back to when you were a little girl in primary school.
If she met you now, what would she think?
Would she look up to you?
Would she think you’re one cool, badass motherfucker?
Or would she roll her eyes? Leave you hanging for that high five?
Personally, I think the ultimate goal is to make her proud.
Because making her proud will make you proud.
She really is all you have.
And you’re all she’s got.
You are her. She is you.
And here’s something else to remember — the mind and body aren’t separate.
Our thoughts, emotions, and unresolved experiences have a direct impact on our physical health. According to principles in German New Medicine, unprocessed emotional conflicts — stress, fear, trauma, grief — don’t just live in your head, they imprint on your body. Your cells listen to every thought you have. Your nervous system responds to every belief you hold.
When you choose different thoughts… when you consciously shift your mindset… when you heal old stories… you don’t just change your mood, you change your biology. You literally start to heal.
Let her — that little girl — be your motivator.
Let her remind you that looking after your mental and emotional health is just as important as your physical. That every day you choose peace over stress, kindness over judgement, and self-trust over self-doubt, you’re healing her. You’re healing you.
There’s always work to be done on ourselves. It’s never-ending coursework. But by showing up, shifting your thoughts, processing your sh*t, and choosing better, day by day, you are getting better — whether you realise it or not.
You are stronger than you know. Mentally. Physically. Emotionally. Energetically.
So give yourself some bloody praise, woman!!
When you’re struggling, think of her.
When you accomplish something, think of her.
When you notice yourself spiralling, pause… and think of her.
Here’s to making her proud.
Here’s to making you proud.
Here’s to becoming the healthiest, happiest, most powerful version of ourselves.
Mind. Body. Soul. All of it.
